Answers to frequently asked questions
1. How exactly does the job search process work?
First it is important that you send us a message with your CV. After we see your qualifications, we can better classify you and introduce you to the employer. After the employer shows interest, an interview will be organized in German or English, depending on the employer's requirements. If an agreement is reached, the start of work is determined the arrival of the employee is planed.
2. Is PROJOBS my employer?
No, PROJOBS is just the employment agency that puts you in touch with the employer.
3. Can I find a job without a CV?
Very difficult, since the employer does not know you and "blind" will almost 100% not hire you. This is rarely possible through personal recommendation or through family/friends.
4. Why is the CV so important?
Your resume is your personal image to the potential employer. More than 50% of all applications fail right at the beginning because of a bad CV, where the employer does not even want to conduct the initial interview.
5. Does this procedure cost me anything?
No. For you as an employee, the entire process is completely free of charge. Of course, you have to bear other costs associated with the job yourself, such as travel, work clothes, etc.
6. Do I absolutely have to be able to speak German?
In principle, knowledge of German is desired everywhere, but not mandatory. Some employers are willing to employ people without knowledge of German, but that depends very much on the work and whether the colleagues also speak foreign languages.
7. What is the quickest way to learn German?
The best way to learn a foreign language is still to go to school or take a course. If you do not have time for this, we recommend taking an online course and listening to or reading German TV, music, newspapers or similar at the same time.
8. Can I find a job as a non-EU citizen?
As a non-EU citizen, you can also find work in Austria if your job falls under a shortage occupation. You need the appropriate qualifications and language skills for this.
